Getting to Know Ms. Coyle

Maywood High School has multiple new faces when you step into a classroom in the 2014-2015 school year. One of those new faces just happens to be Ms. Theresa Coyle, the new high school math teacher. Ms. Coyle was born in Broken Bow, and at the age of six her family moved to Omaha. She graduated high school from Omaha Marian, where she went on to attend Kansas State University and earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Before she began her teaching career, Ms. Coyle worked for Roadway Express in St. Louis and Omaha; and then for Bombardier Aerospace in Wichita and Tucson. In 2005, she moved back to Nebraska to earn her Teaching Certificate at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. After earning her Teaching Certificate she taught in Springview for five years.

Ms. Coyle  is single with no children and enjoys spending her spare time with family and friends, along with playing golf and cheering on the Seattle Seahawks! She is a junior class sponsor, a member of the Data Analysis Team and the SAT Team. But most importantly her goal is to enhance students’ critical thinking skills to their full potential. Her door is always open to anyone who might have a question or comment! Ms. Coyle is very excited to be here in Maywood and looking forward to achieving great things alongside the students.
