Amanda Jensen
Math Teacher 
My name is Amanda Jensen. I grew up in Gothenburg, NE and have recently moved back to Gothenburg. I live there with my husband, Archer, and our German Shepherd, Max. I received my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Nebraska - Kearney in 2021. A couple fun facts about me: I am a licensed cosmetologist and worked as one while obtaining my bachelor's degree, and I love horses and grew up showing them in 4-H every summer. I currently have one horse named Lola, she is a buckskin quarter horse mare.
I am so excited to begin my career as a math teacher at Maywood Public Schools. I am very passionate about not only teaching my students the math skills they will need to excel in whatever path they choose after graduation, but also using math to help students develop a growth mindset and learn problem solving strategies that will be applicable to their lives beyond the classroom.
