Board Committee Purpose and Members
Americanism, Curriculum & Technology Committee – The primary function of this committee is to meet the statutory responsibilities of Nebraska School Law 79-724. The committee should carefully examine, inspect, and approve all textbooks used in the teaching of American History and civil government in school. This committee will assist with the district's curriculum selection and technology goals and priorities.

Building and Grounds – The primary function of this committee is to help school officials with the maintenance and operation of school facilities. This committee approves recommended changes, renovations, and improvements while making recommendations to the board.

School Improvement & Strategic Planning – The primary function of this committee is to help school officials with the exploration of various avenues to grow and expand the school system in a wide array of areas. This committee should assist school officials and advise the board with ideas that may increase or improve educational needs/goals, facilities, and student enrollment.

Public & Personnel Relations Committee – The primary function of this committee is to facilitate collective bargaining with the Maywood Public School staff on an annual basis and make recommendations to the board.

Finance & Stewardship – The primary function of this committee is to assist school officials with district budget and spending as well as the purchase of school transportation equipment, handling of transportation problems, and establishing procedures for efficient operation of school.

Policy - The primary function of this committee to assist school official with writing, reviewing and recommending board policy revisions.
