During the school day Maywood's Elementary splits into groups for "WIN Time" such as the Skilled Reading, Higher Comprehension, Blending Complex Patterns, Letter Naming & Sounds, Accuracy/Fluency, and High Ability Learning. The High Ability Learning group has had a fun few weeks! They have studied the interior and exterior anatomy of an earthworm. These students worked hard to learn the vocabulary and apply their knowledge during their first dissection lab. The next week they enjoyed some hands-on experience with musical instruments during a unit on the topic of country music and its roots. Their essential questions included "where county music comes from and what musical elements comprise county music?"
