Lady Tigers Come Out Roaring
The tension in the air was palpable on Friday, September 5, as a fast paced game took place between the Maywood Lady Tigers and the Harrisburg Wildcats. The clock counted down the minutes until game time, and the Tigers used this time to collect themselves before stepping out on the court and focusing on their strategy - to steal the win. The first set began, and the Lady Tigers showed the crowd the hard work and dedication they had put at practice by working together as a well-oiled machine. Tigers won the first set. The tigers gained momentum and took another set right from underneath the Wildcats’ whiskers. The third and final set began; the Tigers take a steady lead; but suddenly a momentary stumble allowed the Wildcats to begin their climb toward victory leaving only a few points between each other. As the pressure was on, Coach Reinke for Maywood called the girls in for a time out to hopefully to give them the spark they needed to end this game with them on top. As the team made their way back to the court with minds cleared, they ended the third and final set with the Wildcats at 22 and the Tigers at 25.
