Maywood FFA Rolling into 2020

The Maywood FFA Chapter has been in full swing since the start of 2020. Members worked through the month of January to prepare for district Leadership Development Events, state FFA degrees, and proficiency applications. Our chapter had 16 members attend district LDE’s in various categories. On February 5th, seven Maywood FFA seniors interviewed for their state FFA degrees. All passed at the district level and their applications will be sent to state for review. Six chapter members also submitted applications for proficiency awards in their selected areas of their SAE’s. Five of the six applications advanced to state. February 12th brought the first round of spring CDE’s at NCTA. 17 members participated in Vet Science, Nursery & Landscape, Farm Business Management, & Ag Communications. The FBM team and Nursery & Landscape teams both qualified for state. The Ag Communications team is submitting their media plans as well for a chance to compete at the state contest.
