Maywood FFA Members Make it Count!
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn April 4th, 2018, the Maywood FFA Chapter sent 15 of their own blue jackets to Lincoln to compete in contests at the 90th Nebraska FFA Convention. Throughout their time in Lincoln, members got the chance to make it count in all of their contests. Their efforts to do so definitely paid off. The chapter had outstanding results in many contests. Several members made it in the top ten of their contests and one team made it into the top five. To add to the list of accomplishments made, Von Fritsche received his State Degree at the seventh general session. All of the members made every moment in Lincoln count.
April 23rd marked the 4th annual Maywood FFA Banquet. Members were recognized for their achievements throughout the year. 3 members earned their Discovery FFA Degree, 4 earned their Greenhand FFA Degree, and 11 members earned their Chapter FFA Degree. Norder Supply Company was honored as the Maywood FFA Supporter of the year. The evening also included the senior members giving their retiring address along with retiring their FFA jackets. At the end of the evening, the new officers for the Maywood FFA Chapter were announced: President-Jayden Widener, Vice President-Karlie Gerlach, Secretary-Jaycee Widener, Treasurer- Tate Hartley, Reporter-Paige Wood, & Sentinel-Wacey Flack. The 2018-2019 Officer Team will attend COLT Conference May 21-23 at The Leadership Center in Aurora. Below are the results from the 90th Nebraska State FFA Convention.
