"Neither snow nor rain nor [slippery sidewalks] . . . "

On the eve of Christmas break a cold frost hung in the air; the streets and sidewalks were glazed with ice as Maywood’s National Honor Society delivered over 3,000 food items to the Frontier County Food Pantry in Curtis, Nebraska.

This donation was the highlight of MPS students’ canned food drive which began in early November. Each grade level competed to see which class could bring in the highest number of food items. First place winners were the seventh graders, and second place winners were the eleventh graders.

Great work by all the students donating items the past few weeks!
