FFA visits land of Hoosiers
Five lucky FFA members attended the 90th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, October 25-28. The five enthusiastic students that attended National FFA were Parker Johnston, Kaitlyn McGuire, Jon Moore, Paige Wood, and Seth Robinson along with advisor Victoria Armstrong. Lucas Oil Stadium, home field of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, hosted the convention. Ms. Armstrong stated, “While in Indy, members attended leadership sessions, explored career opportunities, and were able to network with over 75 different colleges from across the U.S."
During the opening session, Laila Ali, (Muhammad Ali's daughter) undefeated boxing champion, served as the keynote speaker, bringing a powerful message of self-empowerment to the students. The group also took a day to venture down to Louisville, KY to tour the Louisville Slugger Museum and Churchill Downs. All in all it was a packed and educational trip for these students. It is good to hear about the fun and educational things FFA does. We hope all the students had a great time and that FFA keeps working and having fun.
