FFA Members speed into the National FFA Convention in high gear

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA- Recently, the Maywood FFA Chapter joined more than 64,000 alumni members, FFA student members and supporters from across the country at the 89th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. Alumni members participated in several events Oct. 19-22 as well as volunteered to ensure student members have the best experience possible at the national convention and expo.

For the first time in convention and expo history, the first FFA Alumni Day was held on Friday of convention and expo week to showcase alumni members and give them an opportunity to volunteer and help their local chapters. Alumni members enjoyed time in the alumni booth at the National FFA Expo and at workshops, the Alumni General Session and the Alumni and American FFA Degree Recipients Reception at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Attending the national convention and expo is not only fun and educational but also an ideal time to network with fellow alumni members, share ideas and give back in order to serve their local FFA chapters. The National FFA Organization provides leadership, personal growth and career success training through agricultural education to 649,355 student members who belong to one of 7,859 local FFA chapters throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
