And the silver medal goes to…

On Tuesday, February 16^th, the Maywood’s Junior High Quiz Bowl team headed down to Southwest High School in Bartley, Nebraska, and put their brains to the test. Throughout the entire competition they battled hard, and came out with their guns blazing, constantly keeping their finger on the buzzer. Their focus was sharp and their eyes were on the prize. Heading into the final round of the round-robin style tournament the team held a perfect 8-0 record. At the end of the day, all their hard work certainly paid off as they earned a silver medal.

The future certainly looks bright for these young students. The students that aided in this valiant effort were comprised of Eli Handsaker, Parker Johnston, Karlie Gerlach, Maci Sorge, Nolan Benjamin, and Matthew Jacobs.
