Amy Trimble
6th Grade Teacher
Hello. I am Amy Trimble. My husband, Scott, and I moved to Curtis from Clay Center where I taught 6-8 grade language arts at Harvard from 2012-2022. This is my 27th year in education. I started as a special ed para and a substitute teacher. I have taught preschool, 3rd-8th grades, and high school journalism. I began my teaching career in Georgia, then I moved to Tennessee before coming to Nebraska in 2009. My favorite grades to teach are 6-8 grades. I enjoy the tremendous growth students undergo during this time!
Scott and I have a large blended family. Together, we have eight children and one grandchild. Grandchild number two is due October 2022!! Our youngest two are in 7th and 5th grade. As a family, we stay busy visiting family, going to track meets to cheer on our youngest son, and working on home improvement projects. I also enjoy photography, scrapbooking, making cards, reading, and baking.
As a teacher, I like to spark creativity and curiosity into my lessons. I enjoy getting to know my students and supporting their academic and social growth. Learning is a life-long adventure and I am excited to be part of your journey!
