Lt. Governor Foley challenges students to mine for golden opportunities in Western Nebraska
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn Wednesday, October 5th, Maywood students, grades 10-12, attended the Cambridge College and Career Fair. There were around 30 booths represented, including Central Community College, Valley Irrigation, South East Community College, the Nebraska National Guard, which was manned by Maywood’s very own Luke White, Doane College, and many more. The attendees also enjoyed a surprise visit and presentation by Lt. Governor Mike Foley.
Governor Foley spoke on the many career and life-building opportunities available to young people in Nebraska, and strongly encouraged students from the western part of the state to look for reasons to stay, or return, to this area. Many of the Maywood students enjoyed the fair and the all-around experience.
