Lions and Tigers and Owls, Oh My!
This year several Maywood students entered their art work for the Republican Plains Activities Conference (RPAC) Art Show. This show is held every year during the third week of January. All art teachers from the conference meet in Cambridge with 10-12 pieces of their students work to be judged. This year’s winners are: Medal Winner: Bailey Brown, “Lion;” 1st Honorable Mention: Bailey Brown, “Lilo/Stitch;” 2nd Honorable Mention: Jace Walther, “Duck;” 3rd Honorable Mention: Calyn Werkmeister, “Robot.”
From Hayes Center the winners are: Medal winner: Megan Wright, “Brenden;” 1st Honorable mention: Megan Wright, “Color Race:” 2nd Honorable Mention: Megan Wright, “Foxy Lady;” 3rd Honorable Mention: Francisco Hernandez, “Fishing in Al’Luring.”
The 2015 RPAC Art Show was on display in the library during the week of February 18, 2015. When you see these fellow M-HC students on campus or at other events, congratulate them on their efforts and contributions to this valuable fine arts event!
