PowerSchool Parent Account

PowerSchool is a web-based student information system. It is used by parents, students, teachers and administrators to record, track and communicate student information and performance. Once parents create an account, they can log in from any device, smartphone or computer, and access their student(s) information. 

Setting up a parent account is relatively easy. Parents/guardians will need to have their student(s) unique Account ID and Account Password. (Please contact Mrs. Carey, Mr. McCain or Mr. Brown for assistance in obtaining this information and/or assistance for creating a new account.) 

Follow these steps to creating an Parent account in PowerSchool:

1. Go to https://maywood.powerschool.com/public/

2. Click on the button labeled "Create Account."

3. Enter the parent/guardian account information. Each account must have a unique email address and user name.

4. Create a password of your choosing.

5. You must have an Access ID and Access Password for each student you'd like to add to your account

Access ID: ______ (contact your child's school if you don't know your Access ID)

Access Password: _______

Relationship refers to your relationship to the student

6. Additional children can be added. Obtain a unique Access ID and Access Passwords. Each student has his/her own.

7. Take note of the User Name and Password that you have just created, because you will need them to log in to the PowerSchool portal once you click on "Enter".

**We recommend that you keep your parent/guardian password private.**

There is a downloadable app for PowerSchool as well. The mobile version shows a dashboard which allows users to see current GPA, Class Overview, Assignments Due, Assignments Graded, Assignment Status, and Attendance. Parents with multiple children can toggle between the accounts by clicking on the picture in the top right corner. Classes, Calendar and Schedule can also be accessed.

Mr. Brown, Mr. McCain and Mrs. Carey will be available during Parent Teacher Conferences, February 7th, to assist in setting up parent accounts. To receive assistance sooner than that date, please call 308-362-4223 and we will be happy to assist.
