Like a well-oiled machine

The Lady Wolves Volleyball team are currently 22-5 over-all; and 9-3 in districts. Regardless of her position, each girl can bump, set, hit and block with competence. In short, the Lady Wolves are operating like a well-oiled machine. The RPAC tournament opened last Monday evening (Oct 16) in Maywood where the MHC Wolves were first pitted against the Paxton Tigers. MHC swept the Tigers 3-0. The final game of the evening was a real nail-biter against the Hitchcock Co. Falcons.  After 4 extremely close sets, the Lady Wolves brought home the win.

Tournament play resumed the following evening in McCook at the MCC Events Center.  The Wolves may have been a bit winded from the previous night’s efforts because they lost to the Dundy County Stratton Tigers in 3 sets. They finished the evening winning the consolation match against the Bertrand Vikings and earning 3rd place in the Tournament. A fine showing by our Lady Wolves!

The Lady Wolves played their final match in regular season Tuesday, October 24, in Hayes Center, against the Hitchcock Co. Falcons. The Wolves won the match 3-0 with the last set (25-23) reminiscent of their on-the-edge-of-your-seat battle against the Falcons a week earlier!

The MHC Lady Wolves first post-season game is in Hershey, at 7:00 pm Monday, October 30, where they will be the #1 seed in the D2-9 semifinals. Good Luck, Lady Wolves!
