PK-5th Winner: Kassidy Hatfield

Class: 4th                     Nominating Teacher: Mrs. Bollish

Mrs. Bollish’s comments:  Kassidy always comes to school ready to learn.  When I am explaining directions on a worksheet or a test, Kassidy is jotting down notes in the margins to help her once she is working independently.  Kassidy’s work is neat, contains a lot of details and is done completely.  Kassidy is always polite and uses her manners.  When she is paired with a partner, she is respectful of that individual and always listens to their ideas.   I never have had any incidents concerning Kassidy.  She follows all of our classroom and playground rules.

6th-8th Winner:  Jett Sjeklocha

Class: 7th                     Nominating Teacher:  Mrs. Brown

Mrs. Brown’s comments:  Jett is very aware of what is expected of him in class.  He stays on top of his assignments and will come see me if he has any questions or concerns about assignments.  He is polite and respectful in class.  Jett raises his hand and follows directions.  He never has to be told to keep hands/feet to himself.  He acts appropriately in the hallways and follows school rules.

9th-12th Winner:  Kayla Minary

Class: 11th                   Nominating Teacher:  Mr. Heaton

Mr. Heaton’s comments:  When it comes to MPS, Kayla is a “team player” at all levels.  She always has a positive attitude and wears a big smile wherever she goes.  Kayla gives 100% of herself each day whether it’s in sports or academics.  She shows up every day ready to work hard.  Kayla is respectful to teachers and students alike.  If she sees a student (from any grade level) struggling with work, or maybe a new student trying to learn the ropes, Kayla steps up and helps this person.  She is genuinely considerate and friendly to all.
