Launch the media gallery 1 player - media #3The Maywood Fire Department and MPS staff gave a rousing hurrah and warm send off to the state track qualifiers and coaches Thursday morning. Three Maywood-Hayes Center Wolves are making the trip to Omaha Burk Stadium to compete on May 20 & 21 in the 2016 NSAA State Track and field Meet. Senior Jace Walthers will throw his last high school shot put at 11:00 a.m. Friday. Junior Bryar Gerlach will run the 3200 meter sometime mid-afternoon on Friday, and Sophomore Kayla Minary will run the 3200 meter at approximately 12:00 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday, Minary is slated to run the 1600 meter at 1:45 p.m. Gerlach will run his 1600 meter late Saturday afternoon. All three contenders were district champions. Good luck at the NSAA State Championships!!
