Preschool of rock

On April 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., Maywood held its Preschool Graduation and Spring Program in the Maywood Gymnasium. The students prepared some joyful entertainment with ‘Pete the Cat’s School Rocks’ as the theme. The lil’ grads marched into the school in specially tailored caps and gowns. There were plenty of smiles and giggles as they observed each other in their formal attire. In keeping with ‘Pete the Cat’s theme of Rocking while Learning, the graduates busted out their inflatable guitars and boogied to the sounds of “rockin’ in my school shoes.” The ceremony became more solemn as the graduates lined up to receive their diplomas from their teacher, Amy Williams. All the dancing, singing and formal ceremonies made the Pre-K alumni hungry and thirsty, so everyone relaxed with cookies and lemonade. When you see our little graduates, congratulate them on their achievements!

Maywood Preschool had 20 students enrolled with two groups of students. Maywood Early Childhood Programs are an amazing place for your child to be!  Some other events happening in our Preschool classroom included: Chicka Chicka 1, 2, 3, playing with homemade sand, letters and numbers. In addition, preschool students have been painting a variety of spring activities and got to wear their pajamas one week to school!  To celebrate spring they blew bubbles and used sidewalk chalk.
